Description (physical)

The present Town Hall is a simple two storey red brick building with a bay window to the right of the elegant doorway whose fluted pilasters support the pediment. The seal shows a sailor standing on the prow of a Viking ship under sail.

Description (iconographical)

English local government underwent a major change in 1896 when the Felixstowe and Walton Local Board was replaced by an urban district council. In the re-organisation of 1974 this in turn gave way to Felixstowe Town Council who finally take possession of the Town Hall at the beginning of October 2007.
